Mattos Films is an emerging production company dedicated to bold, cinematic storytelling with global resonance. Founded by Brazilian director and producer Barbara Toschi, the company is driven by a passion for compelling narratives and elevated production values across genres.

 

With a few years in the industry, Mattos Films' work has gained recognition across the global festival circuit. The short film Dear Friends and Family won Best International Short Film at the Olympus Film Festival, Best Original Score at Feel the Reel Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Directing at the BAFTA-qualifying Underwire Film Festival. Their short Call Me Lina was officially selected for the Oscar-Qualifying Hollyshorts Screenwriting Competition and the Birmingham Film Festival.

The company’s debut feature, the sci-fi thriller Dimension Slip, received the Directorial Discovery Award at the Oscar-qualifying Flickers’ Rhode Island International Film Festival. It premiered in the UK at the Miraban UK Film Awards and has since been distributed in over 20 countries.
